Paediatricians and orthopaedists are of the opinion that babies and toddlers should lie a little more firmly. Since the spine is not yet supported by the muscles, a baby mattress that is too soft could cause permanent damage to the spine.

The mattress core consists of an orthopedic, perforated cold foam core. This open-pored and breathable cold foam ensures good ventilation and a perfectly dry sleeping climate. The core is covered on one side with a mattress cover made of pure cotton/drill, a firm, smooth-woven cotton fabric. The other side is covered with pure merino wool. The mattress cover is not removable.

The mattress protector prevents the accumulation of sweat, dead skin cells, animal hair and dust mites in the mattress; an unprotected mattress creates an optimal environment for the proliferation of bacteria and house dust mites.
